Joachim Stumpf has been Managing Director and shareholder of IPH Handelsimmobilien GmbH since 1994 and since 2007 has been Managing Director of IPH’s parent company BBE Handelsberatung GmbH, where he has worked since 1987.
Since 2010, Mr. Stumpf has been Managing Director of elaboratum GmbH, a joint venture with BBE also headed by Prof. Klaus Gutknecht. The company is responsible for the conception and implementation of multi-channel sales systems, digital in-store marketing and e-commerce and mobile-commerce activities.
Mr. Stumpf’s many years of experience in the areas of retail consulting and retail real estate have resulted in unparalleled knowledge of future-orientated retail strategies and retail properties. He is a regular speaker on these and other current topics relating to the German retail scene at various retail and real estate industry conferences and publishes specialist articles on the subject.
He is also a lecturer at the RID-Stiftung and co-publisher and author of the books “Erfolgreich im mittelständischen Handel: Erprobte Methoden, Hilfsmittel und Erfolgsstrategien”, “Innovationsmanagement im Handel” and „Kompendium der Einzelhandelsimmobilie: Ein Praxis- und Rechtshandbuch”.
Lars Jähnichen has been Managing Director and shareholder of IPH Handelsimmobilien GmbH since 2017. He is based at the company headquarters in Munich.
Mr. Jähnichen has over 20 years’ experience in the large-scale retail real estate sector. The qualified business engineer was most recently Managing Director responsible for asset management at Unibail-Rodamco Germany until 2016 and was in charge of a team managing a shopping center portfolio comprising a total lettable area of around 850,000 m². During this time, he successfully designed and implemented a number of major revitalisation projects. His team was also responsible for the development, planning and construction of several shopping centers, including the internationally multi-award winning Pasing Arcaden in Munich.
Mr. Jähnichen has extensive expertise in the entire value creation process in the German commercial real estate sector, from project developments to planning/construction and the optimisation of rental income and value enhancement potential. He publishes specialist articles and is a regular speaker at various retail and real estate industry conferences.
Mr. Jähnichen is responsible for the real estate consultancy, project development and letting divisions at IPH Handelsimmobilien GmbH.
Marcus Eggers has been Managing Director of Munich-based IPH Centermanagement GmbH since October 2020.
He spent 21 years as a senior manager with ECE Projektmanagement, where he acquired his comprehensive and international shopping centre and retail property know-how. For many years he was Regional Director for the company’s centre management, initially in south eastern Europe and more recently in northern Germany. He was responsible for up to 20 shopping centres and a staff of around 200. In addition to his wide-ranging sector-specific expertise, his studies in business administration and psychology have formed a solid basis for the level of knowledge transfer, leadership and operational excellence required for the implementation of international and successful strategies.
His work at IPH Centermanagement, a joint venture between IPH Handelsimmobilien and IC Immobilien Gruppe, has focussed on marketing strategies, repositioning, personnel development and successful operational concepts for 20 shopping centres throughout Germany.
Jürgen Kreutz is Managing Director of Munich-based IPH Transact GmbH with effect from January 2022.
During the 1990s, he was a senior manager in the investment division of retail agent Kemper’s, based in Düsseldorf. For over 20 years he was Managing Director of COMFORT Holding also in Düsseldorf, with responsibility for the development and co-ordination of the company’s consultancy and retail agency activities throughout Germany. He was also Managing Director of the operational unit COMFORT Düsseldorf GmbH for over 20 years as head of the retail letting department and in charge of the transaction business with a focus on the structural analysis of retail properties and advising on optimisation and conceptual sustainability. His career has included portfolio strategy, development consultancy, classic buy-side and sales advisory together with the entire service palette in the retail property sector.
At IPH Transact GmbH, Jürgen Kreutz is responsible for consultancy, structuring and the implementation of the transaction business across Germany, mostly involving retail properties.
